Россия подошла к возможности строительства высокоскоростной железнодорожной магистрали (ВСМ) от Москвы до Санкт-Петербурга. Момент для реализации мегапроекта увидел президент страны Владимир Путин, сообщает РИА Новости.
«Этот проект скоростной железной дороги на первом этапе между Москвой и Петербургом, обсуждается давно, но прямо сейчас мы действительно подошли к возможности его реализации», — заявил глава государства. По словам Путина, новая магистраль должна освободить действующую и ускорить перевозку грузов.
Время в пути уменьшится и для пассажиров. Сейчас из столицы в Санкт-Петербург можно добраться за 4 часа 5 минут, а в будущем это станет возможным за 2 часа 15 минут, уточнил президент. Кроме того, от Твери до Москвы можно будет доехать за 39 минут, а время в пути между Великим Новгородом и Петербургом сократится до 29 минут.
Ранее 17 августа Путин принял участие в запуске пассажирского движения по Московскому центральному диаметру (МЦД-3). В рамках нового маршрута поезда «Иволга 3.0» и ЭП2Д будут ездить по диаметру от станции Крюково до станции Ипподром и обратно.
